- Established in 1948, Fujitec globally employs over 11,000 employees, active in over 45 countries with 38 group companies.
- We have 8 factories globally, including three R&D centers – our primary factory is “Big Wing” located in Japan.
1948 - February
Fujitec Co., Ltd is founded by late Honorary Chairman, Mr. Shotaro Uchiyama for the purpose of research and development, manufacturing, sales, installation and maintenance of elevators.
1964 - August
Fujitec (HK) Co., Ltd. is established.
1974 - February
The company is listed on the first Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange.
1972 - August
Fujitec Singapore Corpn. Ltd., is established.
1975 - September
A 150-meter tall elevator research tower (at the time the world’s tallest and largest of its kind) is completed in Ibaraki,Osaka.
1976 - July
A super high-speed DC gearless elevator with a speed of 600mpm (at the time the world´s fastest) is developed.
1977 - July
Fujitec America Inc. is established.
1982
- January
A 150-meter tall elevator research tower (at the time the world’s tallest and largest of its kind) is completed in Ibaraki,Osaka.
- July
Fujitec UK Ltd. is established.
1993 - March
Fujitec Co., Ltd. becomes the first in the Japanese elevator industry to obtain ISO9001, an international quality assurance standard.
1997
- July
The world's largest elevator production plant is built in Lebanon, Ohio, USA.
- July
V SERIES a new type of global standard escalator, is developed.
- December
Fujitec UK Ltd. obtains ISO 9001 certification.
2004 - May
Fujitec India Private Ltd. is established.
2018 - February
70th anniversary of founding.
